FIJIAN SOLDIERS STILL STRANDED IN LEBANON

SUVA, Fiji (Radio Fiji, Jan. 1) - The team of Fiji soldiers overseeing the final phase of Fiji's withdrawal is still in Lebanon.

The team known as the Rear Party was expected in the country last month.

However, Bula 100FM News reports that the team's return could be further delayed to January.

They are reported to be facing difficulty in finding vessels to transport the Fiji battalion's arms and equipment home.

Some shipping agents are reported to have dismissed the team's request because of the security risks involved.

All the army could say is that the rear party will only come home when their job is done.
