SUVA, Fiji (Radio Fiji, Jan. 8) – Labor Leader, Mahendra Chaudhry will raise issues concerning Indo Fijians at the first ever meeting of the Indian Diaspora in New Delhi, India later this week.

Chaudhry is among three panelists who will be speaking at the first plenary session of the conference.

The former prime minister and Labour Member Parliament, Dr. Ganesh Chand will speak on the plight of Indo Fijians.

Chaudhry says a number of programs have been organized in conjunction with the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas which will discuss the political problems of people of Indian origin residing abroad.

He says he will use every forum to highlight problems facing Indo Fijians so that it receives wide coverage at the international meet.

Chaudhry will hold private meetings with the Indian Prime Minister, Opposition leader and the minister for external affairs.
