MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, Mar. 6) - A senior Papua New Guinea government minister has been ousted from Parliament by a court challenge to his election by a rival candidate.

The public service minister, Puka Temu, had his election invalidated by a ruling of the National Court in the capital, Port Moresby.

The court held that two campaign donations amounted to an attempt to bribe voters.

Temu is expected to challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.
