MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, April 1) – A fourth
victim has died in Singapore from the new form of pneumonia that has claimed 62
lives worldwide after originating in southern China.

A ministry of health spokeswoman in Singapore says the latest
victim is a 43-year-old woman who visited a government-run hospital in Singapore
before traveling to Malaysia with her family.

She fell ill, six days after her return to Singapore.

Malaysia has reported no cases of the disease, known as Severe
Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

SARS has now infected some 1,700 people in 15 countries, as
scientists in laboratories worldwide struggle to identify the virus and find a
cure.
