HONIARA, Solomon Islands (SIBC, May 7) - Power supplies to
government offices and facilities in Honiara disconnected earlier this week have
all been reconnected.

This follows a government payment of $400,000 to the electrical
utility with an additional $100,000 to be paid today.

It is understood that the $100,000 will be paid to ensure power
supplies to Honiara water pumps are not disconnected.
