US INCREASES SPECIAL ED ALLOCATION TO AMERICAN SAMOA

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (RNZI, July 29) - The US congress has set aside 5.8 million US dollars for special education programs this year in American Samoa.

Congressman Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin says this is in addition to the 33 million dollars per year the Territory receives through the Interior Department.

Faleomavaega says the new funding is to improve special education programs to better serve children and youth.
