SAMOAN LANGUAGE UNIVERSITY GROWS

APIA, Samoa (Samoa News, Aug. 21) - Le Amosa o Savavau
University, which holds lectures in Samoan, marked its sixth anniversary during
a ground breaking ceremony of land granted by government.

The Samoan government donated five acres to the university at
Vaitele Uta.

Since 1997, the university has been included in government
funding for private schools, receiving WS$24,000 annually.

But this year it got WS$40,000, Le Amosa o Savavau University
President Le Tagaloa Pita said.
