ADB APPROVES $150,000 FOR VANUATU CREDIT

Asian Development Bank Manila, Philippines Nov. 6

The Asian Development Bank has approved a US$150,000 technical assistance (TA) grant for a study to improve access to affordable credit in Vanuatu.

Part of ADB's support for private sector development in Vanuatu, the TA's goal is to support pro-poor economic growth.

The ultimate objective is to assist the government in establishing a well-functioning secured transactions framework and a credit reference facility.

The purpose is to prepare a sound integrated reform package, including a detailed implementation plan, to achieve this.
