MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, Jan. 2) - A powerful bomb ripped through a New Year's Eve music concert in Indonesia's strife-torn Aceh province, killing 10 people and injuring 31.

The military says the powerful bomb devastated the stage where the concert was being held at Peureulak in East Aceh.

It blamed the attack on rebels of the Free Aceh Movement.

Most of the dead were teenagers.

A local rebel commander, Ishak Daud, has denied that GAM was behind the attack.

A police officer in Langsa, the main town in East Aceh, says a hunt was underway for rebels believed to have carried out the attack.

Also on Wednesday, soldiers killed three rebels in separate clashes.
