U.S. MILITARY CHIEF TO MEET AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER

MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, Jan. 16) - The Australia prime minister will meet in Sydney today with the Chairman of the United States' Joint chiefs of staff, General Richard Myers.

The discussions are expected to include Australia's involvement in the U.S. missile defense program.

Myers will also meet the head of Australia's defense force, General Peter Cosgrove, later in the national capital Canberra and take part in a wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial.
