WELLINGTON, New Zealand (RNZI, Jan. 22) - Seats to Fiji on the New Zealand budget airline, Freedom Air, will go on sale at the beginning of February.

However the no-frills airline will not begin flying to Fiji until the end of April.

Freedom Air, which is a subsidiary of Air New Zealand, will fly between the North Island cities of Hamilton and Palmerston North to Nadi.

The Fiji Visitors Bureau is expecting a further large increase in tourists from New Zealand with the introduction of the new airline.

Freedom Air is the second budget airline to announce it will begin services to Fiji after Australia’s Virgin Blue.
