MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, Jan. 28) - An Iranian man, refused asylum in Malaysia, set himself on fire outside the offices of the United Nations refugee agency in the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

He was rushed to hospital but doctors say it is unlikely he will survive.

Gulam Hassan Anwari first applied for asylum in November 2001 but was rejected then and again after a subsequent appeal in 2002.
