NUKUALOFA, Tonga (Maganti Tonga, July 1) - Viliami Veasi'i Veikune, the successor to Tonga's Noble title of Tu'iha'ateiho, was invested with his title on June 28 at the Tu'iha'ateiho residence, Sialata, Ha'ateiho, on Tongatapu.

He is the only son of Havea Tu'iha'ateiho, who died on June 5.

The investiture ceremony was led by Rev. Uaisele Manoa with a prayer and a sacrament service.

Hon. Ma'afu, the Private Secretary for King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV, read a letter of confirmation from the King, which stated that the bestowment of the title was backdated to June 11, the burial date of the late Tu'iha'ateiho.

The estates of the Tui'ha'ateiho are the islands of Tungua and Matuku in Ha'apai, Ha'ateiho Si'i in Ha’apai, Ha'ateiho Si'i in Vava'u, as well as Ha'ateiho and Loto Ha'apai in Tongatapu.
