HONIARA, Solomon Islands (SIBC, August 5) - More than 300 residents of Wind Valley in West Honiara will soon have access to electricity supply from the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority

This follows payment of more than $28,000 by the member of parliament for West Honiara, Yukio Sato, to the utility agency for the project.

The chairman of the Wind Valley community, Nathaniel Soto, says the payment include the putting up of electricity posts and actual wiring to the area.

The community will assist SIEA in carrying out the work.

Chiefs and people of the area are very thankful for the help from their member of parliament.

Wind Valley does not currently have a power supply.
