PACIFIC BLUE GETS COOK ISLANDS ROUTE

MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, Oct. 12) - The Cook Islands Government has granted Australian airline Pacific Blue a license to fly to the main island of Rarotonga once a week from Sydney, Australia, via Christchurch in New Zealand.

The government says the license was granted last week and the first flight to Rarotonga is confirmed for November 20.

Pacific Blue was allocated 180 of the 500 seats available to Australian carriers under the current Australia-Cook Islands air services agreement.
