WELLINGTON, New Zealand (RNZI, Oct. 14) – Samoa opposition leader Le Mamea Ropati says donors and contributions by villages are funding new school buildings but the Government is not playing its part by supplying enough teachers.

School buildings have been opening with increasing frequency and Ropati says the first to be thanked must be donor organizations for providing funds.

Ropati says it’s not government money, but aid funding from Japan and the European Union, added to help provided by villages.

Ropati says it’s useless constructing a building, as children go there and sing songs but are not educated well because there are not enough teachers.
