PORT VILA, Vanuatu (Vanuatu Daily Post, Oct. 28) – Complaints have been raised by the public in Luganville that there are still disturbances throughout the night after 9 p.m. coming from Kava bars late at night.

Kava bar entertainments are organized within the municipal areas only on fundraising nights, usually at the end of the month and on government pay days.

This is not the first time such complaints have been leveled against late night disturbances.

Last yea,r Chapuis residents raised the same issue after a public dance. As a result, such events have been banned in the area.

They also complained that the police and LMC have not played their part in sticking to their own regulations.

Daily Post could not reach the police and the Luganville Municipality for comments on the issue.
