WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, Dec. 23) – American Samoa’s homeless are to get over US$159,000 in aid next year from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The money is part of a US$153 million package to support social service agencies in more than 2,500 jurisdictions of the United States.

The money supplements food, shelter, rent, mortgage and utility assistance programs for people with non-disaster related emergencies.
