STORM DOWNGRADED SOUTH OF TAHITI

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, Dec. 27) – A cyclone that developed in the ocean off French Polynesia over Christmas has now been downgraded to a depression.

The storm has passed by the territory’s southernmost island of Rapa.

At no time did Cyclone Judy threaten any of the main parts of French Polynesia.
