PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (The National, Mar. 15) – Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Michael Somare and his Solomon Islands counterpart, Allan Kemakeza are to formalise a development co-operation treaty between the two countries at Morauta House today.

A courtesy call on Somare by Kemakeza and his delegation at will precede the signing of the agreement.

Kemakeza and his entourage arrived from the Solomon Islands capital of Honiara yesterday, and were met by Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Rabbie Namaliu, Solomon Islands High Commissioner to PNG Mr. Philip Kapani, Chief Secretary to Government Joshua Kalinoe and Foreign Affairs and Immigration Secretary Gabriel Pepson.

A dinner will be hosted for the Solomon Islands prime minister later in the evening.

Kemakeza and his delegation will leave for Honiara tomorrow.
