SUVA, Fiji (Radio Fiji News, Mar. 19) – A crime free night was recorded throughout Fiji yesterday and police are attributing this to the country's participation at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong.

Police say no major crimes were reported in the past 24 hours because everyone seemed to be glued to their television sets throughout the period.

Divisional Police Commander Southern Superintendent Jone Ravula says this is a good trend and he is hopeful that it will continue throughout the weekend.

Divisional Crime Western Assistant Superintendent Vijay Singh says the Western Division also experienced a crime free night while Labasa police say no reports of criminal activities were recorded for the same period.
