SAMOAN FAMILY BESTOWS ORATOR TITLE

APIA, Samoa (Samoa Observer, May 1) – After many years, the "Tuu'u o le Tofi" Samoan orator title has been bestowed on four members of his side of the family, said Tuu'u Uta'ileuo Minute yesterday.

They are Tuu'u Uta'ileuo Minute, Tuu'u Mano Tagiao, Tuu'u Ponausuia Faaleofi Tuioletai, Tuu'u Mano Solomona.

The bestowment took place at 'Saumolia', at Sa'aga Siumu.

He said: "This is the first Tuu'u in the Siumu district."

Uta'ileuo was one of the four people bestowed with the orator title.

Uta'ileuo said his family decided that it was time to bestow this important title, for the sake of his extended family.

The four new Tuu'u said they will serve their families and district with honour and love. The bestowment was blessed by Sa Asomua, and witnessed by many family members.
