SUVA, Fiji (Fijilive, June 29) – Fiji police are looking for two men who abandoned a two-seater aircraft that landed at Nausori Airport yesterday, reportedly from Norfolk Island.

Eastern Police Commander Emosi Baleinuku said the men, who were both white, might have flown the plane in from Norfolk Island, off Australia.

Baleinuku said a car was waiting for the men when the plane touched down at 5:15 p.m.

"They abandoned the plane in the old hangar and jumped over the fence, ran away in a vehicle towards Suva," Baleinuku told Radio Fiji.

He said airport security and police are inspecting the plane, whose registration is ZKTFD.

The car number plate is EA644.
