AMERICAN SAMOA FAMILY ARRESTED IN METH BUST

PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (Samoa News, Oct. 9) - Police arrested a family and their friends during a raid yesterday where they allegedly uncovered methamphetamine - "ice" - marijuana, weapons and ammunition, and drug paraphernalia at a home in Nu'uuli. The raid followed a search warrant granted by the court.

According to reliable reports, those arrested included a father, mother and son, an in-law and friends of the family.

The youngest member arrested is in his/her 20s, sources say. The home that was raided is located near the former Silver Brothers club, which is now a restaurant.

DPS Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau (CIIB) head Va'a Sunia declined to comment about the case yesterday because the matter is under investigation.
