GUAM CONTRACTOR WINS $21 MILLION MILITARY BID

HAGÅTÑA, Guam (Pacific Daily News, March 9) - Local business Sun Woo Corporation, a construction company, has recently been awarded a lucrative housing contract on Guam.

The US$21 million contract, awarded last Friday, is for a project to improve and repair 99 existing enlisted and officer housing units in South Finegayan located near Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station in central Guam, according to a Navy media release.

Improvements include tiling, reconfiguration of laundry rooms, refurbishment of air-conditioning systems, and modification of concrete walks.

Repairs include replacement of architectural finishes, doors, windows and other items.

The project is set to be finished March 2008.

Sun Woo Corp., which does business as Core Tech International, is categorized as a local, woman-owned small business.
