SUVA, Fiji (Fijilive, May 23) – Fiji Labour Party (FLP) members nominated to join the SDL-led government plan to boycott this morning's swearing in ceremony at Government House.

The members decided on the boycott following a FLP caucus meeting last night. The party plans to have another at 11am when SDL members are being sworn into government.

The FLP says it wants more talks with Qarase to persuade him to accept its recommendations.

Qarase says today's swearing in will continue with or without the nominated FLP members. understands the FLP members are unhappy with reservations expressed by PM Qarase on the nominees forwarded by Chaudhry.

Qarase has said it is his prerogative as Prime Minister who he chooses to serve in his Cabinet.
