TONGA TO GET NEW BROADBAND INTERNET SERVICE

NUKU’ALOFA, Tonga (Matangi Tonga, June 26) - A new Canopy Wireless Broadband System will be launched in Tonga, on July 7, Mark Schmid, the new manager of Tonfön Communications announced on Thursday during a Business Solution event hosted by Tonfön at the Waterfront Cafe.

The Canopy Wireless Broadband System from Motorola will offer two broad categories of services for homes and businesses. The speed of the services offers range from 64 kilobytes per second and 512 kbps, and with a range of the monthly connection fees.

The new Tonfön Wireless Broadband will be available only to subscribers in Tongatapu and nearby holiday island resorts, and is a step up from their existing service.
