CRUISE SHIPS TO VISIT SOLOMON ISLANDS

HONIARA, Solomon Islands (SIBC, Nov. 2) - Four cruise ships will be visiting Solomon Islands over the next two months.

The first is the Clipper Odyssey, which is currently in Gizo and will be visiting Sand Fly Passage Central Province, Honiara, Santa Anna, Utupua and Tikopia.

The ship will arrive in Honiara tomorrow where about 100 passengers onboard will visit World war two Battle Fields and various sites in Honiara.

Another Cruise vessel, Oceanic Princess with about 60 passengers will visit the country next week. The boat will visit Gizo, Sandfly Passage, Alite, Santa Ana and Santa Cruz.

M/Y Orion with 100 passengers will only visit Western Province's Gizo and Uepi Island and will arrive November 17.

Spirit of Oceanus with 100 passengers will be visiting Arnavon Island, Kia, Honiara and Tikopia towards the end of December.

The boat will be in Honiara on December 30.

The Visitors Bureau says the country's diverse cultures, natural environment, and World War history is attracting cruise boats to Solomon islands.
