SUVA, Fiji (Fijilive, Feb. 28) - The Fiji National Provident Fund's Board has suspended it's chief executive, Ms. Olota Rokovunisei, and Deputy General Manager Ms. Foana Nemani.

Rokovunisei and Nemani were sent on paid leave last month after an audit was launched into FNPF's affairs by the new board appointed by the military following the December 5 coup.

Board member Mr. Daniel Urai says the duo has been issued letters informing them that they have been suspended without pay. The letter also lists the various charges against them.

"They've been given 14 days to reply to those charges," he said.

Urai said the internal audit has highlighted "sufficient evidence within the internal auditing process" that has led the FNPF board to make the decision to suspend Rokovunisei and Nemani.
