Auckland, New Zealand (NiuFM, Mar 19) -It looks like Niueans living in New Zealand could be a step closer to getting a voice in Niue's Government.

Premier Young Vivian held a meeting last night to discuss issues most pressing for Auckland Niueans'.

And he told Pacific Radio News that one of the big tickets is the call for an overseas seat.

The premier also discussed issues of land and taonga Niue and revealed he has some definite ideas on land use.

But while Young Vivian may be sympathetic to the plight of his fellow Niueans back home, a pay cut seems to be all he can offer for now.

There'll be another meeting at the Otara PIC on Wednseday.
