PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (The National, April 23) – Papua New Guinea Parliament was adjourned again last Friday because of no quorum.

When Parliament resumed at 10 o’clock in the morning, there were hardly any Members of Parliament in the chambers and the number went up to eight Members of Parliament by 11 o’clock—forcing the Speaker to adjourn Parliament until tomorrow.

This was the second time in a week that the Speaker was forced to adjourn due to lack of quorum.

Parliament was also forced to adjourn until tomorrow when it resumed for its last session before the country goes into the elections with the issue of writs set for May 4.
