TONGANS CHARGED WITH THEFT, MURDER IN SYDNEY

NUKUALOFA, Tonga (Radio Tonga News, July 25) - Three Tongans have been charged in Sydney with murder, theft and for being armed.

Radio Tonga news correspondent in Sydney, Australia, Lisiate Prescott reports that Sitiveni Loko, Sunia Takai and Ilaisaane Inukiha'angana appeared in Burwood Court in Sydney last week .

One of the males is accused for murdering a security guard. The female is alleged to have been the driver of the getaway vehicle.

The incident happened during the celebration of a birthday at a hotel in Tempe in June last year.

It's alleged the two Tongan men stole some items from the hotel and when the security guard gave chase one of the Tongans stabbed him from which he died later.
