AUCKLAND FA’AFAFINES TRY FIST IN ‘LAST STANDING’

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (NiuFM, Aug 7) – A boxing tournament with a difference is already capturing the imagination.

The Last Man Standing Extravaganza was staged in Apia recently and has now been brought across by its organisers.

Four fa’afafines will be stepping into the ring.

One of them is Lady Teesha, who says she may ... or may not .... act like a lady on the night...depending on whether or not her opponent is a fellow countryman. (Listen)

According to the girl's manager, Jennifer O'Brien Finau, there's still some discrimination around today for fa’afafines but they're coping. (Listen)

The boxing bouts will be staged in West and South Auckland.
