TUVALU DRINKING WATER TAINTED BY SEA LEVEL RISE

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (NiuFM, Dec. 20) – Climate change is being held responsible for the rising tides and for a small island like Tuvalu - the cost of desalination is impossible.

A government spokesman says they can no longer consume water from wells and houses getting flooded during high tides is a common occurrence.

Kelesoma Saloa says their eleven thousand strong population are starting to get a real taste of what's ahead of them. (listen)
