SOLOMONS POLICE ARREST SIX FOR VOTER FRAUD

Solomon Islands police yesterday arrested six people for election related offences during the East Honiara By-Election.
The first arrest occurred at the Waterfront Polling Station in East Honiara when a male was discovered trying to use his name to vote for a second time.
An 18-year-old male, 20-year-old male, 22-year-old male and 23-year-old male were arrested at different polling stations after they were caught trying to impersonate another person and vote in that name.
One female was also arrested for impersonating another person at St Nicholas polling station.
All six offenders are expected to appear before the Honiara Magistrates Court today.
