Passengers told luggage might return by end of week

NUKUALOFA, Tonga (Radio Tonga News, Nov. 3, 2008) - Niuafo'ou passengers who were stranded in Niuatoputapu, Vava’u and Tongatapu during the last two weeks were taken back to the island on the Voea Pangai.

The Government Representative on the island, Saia Monu says the Voea Pangai arrived at Futu Wharf before six yesterday morning with about 20 of the stranded passengers.

There was a technical problem to the MV.Olovaha during its trip to the two Niuas late last month, and some of the Niuafo'ou passengers got off at Niuatoputapu and the rest returned to Nuku'alofa.

He says the rest of their passengers and their cargoes are expected to be arrived on MV.Olovaha at the end of the week….
