Craft fair to be held April 1-2 downtown

MAJURO, Marshall Islands (Yokwe, Mar 25, 2009) - The Republic of the Marshall Islands’ Ministry of Resources and Development, in collaboration with the Honolulu City Mayor’s Office, is organizing a "Made in the Marshall Islands Trade Fair" to be held in downtown Honolulu, on April 1 to 2, 2009.

The "Made in the Marshall Islands Fair" aims to support the Islands’ handicraft retailers in promoting and selling unique Marshallese handicrafts.

"In this event we hope to establish a network amongst our local handicraft retailers and U.S. buyers that in future will sustain the livelihood of our grassroots level weavers," said Iva Reimers-Roberto, Chief of Trade & Investment.

Venue: Fort Street Mall, Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawai΄i Date: April 1-2, 2009 Time: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
