Unreleased tourism related project in Moorea

PAPEÉTE, Tahiti (Tahitipresse, April 29, 2009) – Anas Abukhadra, an agent representing Sheikh Enani, from Dubaï, met Tourism Minister Jacqui Drollet. He said Sheikh Enani was ready to invest in Moorea, Windward Islands.

Details about the project have not been released but it will be in the field of tourism, a Tourism minister press release states.

Sheikh Enani already owns since 1972 a very large estate located in the North East of Moorea, Tahiti's sister island.

Tourism minister Jacqui Drollet said he welcomed the project and all projects which could help French Polynesia's economy.

Anas Abukhadra said he wanted to know more about what the French Polynesian government expects in such projects, the Tourism minister press release states.

Jacqui Drollet said the project was "original" and French Polynesia could help it with tax exemptions.

Anas Abukhadra announced that Sheikh Enani will probably come to French Polynesia "in a few months" to discuss these issues.
