APIA, Samoa (Samoa Observer, July 8, 2009) – The dispute between the Worship Centre and Hotel Millennia’s owner Maualaivao Pat Ah Him is now in God’s hands, says Pastor Viliamu Mafo’e.

"Members of our church went there and had a sit down talk with Maualaivao," he said.

"We’ve already discussed the matter and now it is with Maualaivao to decide if he still wants to take the matter to the court."

The Worship Centre is preparing for a conference in Apia which starts today at which issues about the centre will be raised – including the dispute with the Hotel Millennia.

"There’s nothing to concern us at the moment because we believe that Christian thoughts and beliefs can solve the problem as we are all Christians," said Pastor Mafo’e.

The centre now is focussing on the conference and the Youth Alive starts tonight in front of the government building with 50 groups already registered.

It runs for three days.

Earlier this week, Maualaivao said: "When they hold their services the volume goes over the (legal) limit.

"It should be lowered so it is suitable to everybody. The matter is in the hands of the lawyers."

The hotel and church are neighbours on beach front property at Sogi. Worship Centre Church is located between two hotels.
