ROC (Taiwan) Gives 4th Quarter of 2009 Grant to Marshall Islands

MAJURO, Marshall Islands (Yokwe, Nov. 6, 2009) – In the Marshall Islands, Ambassador Bruce J. D. Linghu of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented a check in the amount of US$2,750,000.00) to Hon. John M. Silk, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Hon. Jack Ading, Minister of Finance at the Cabinet Meeting Room of the International Conference Center on November 3, 2009. The donation ceremony was witnessed by Herbert Hsu, Counselor of the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy and other RMI officials.

The said amount is the fourth quarter of Year 2009 Annual Grant from the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the RMI Government. The People and Government of the ROC (Taiwan) along with its Embassy in Majuro sincerely wish the above-mentioned Grant could contribute to the welfare of Marshallese People and the prioritized projects of the RMI Government.
