Al-Waleed bin Talal might build hotels

PAPEÉTE, Tahiti (Tahitipresse, July 27, 2010) – French Polynesia President Gaston Tong Sang recently welcomed Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal to Bora Bora, where they talked about possible investments in French Polynesia.

Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal said he enjoyed his stay in Bora Bora, Leeward Islands.

He also told reporters he might be interested in building new hotels in Bora Bora.

The member of the Saudi Royal Family came for a short visit in French Polynesia with his own plane. It was his second visit in Tahiti and Her Islands.

Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, 55, is the nephew of the Saudi Arabian King Abdullah.

He is often described as an entrepreneur and as an important international investor.

He has amassed a fortune through investments in real estate and the stock market.

As of March 2010, his net worth is estimated at US$19.4 billion, according to the US magazine Forbes.

This makes him the 19th richest person in the world on the list Forbes published last March.

Al-Waleed reportedly owns several aircraft, all converted for private use, and an 86-meter yacht.
