UK team fails to avenge 2007 loss to Fiji

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, Nov. 19, 2010) – Fiji’s Seremaia Bai struck a penalty with the last kick of the game to earn Fiji a 16-16 draw against Wales at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

The Fijians led 13-6 at half time.

Fiji is one of three of the Pacific’s top rugby nations in action this weekend.

Tonga open their European tour today on a more low-key note, against Italy A in Modena.

The Ikale Tahi coach, Isitolo Maka says they’ve only been in camp a short time so he’s kept things pretty simple at training.

However he says nothing short of a win will be good enough and he wants his players to impose themselves on the home side.

"We can’t make any excuses. I just hope to see the boys play to our strength , we want to be really physical with them, and I’m sure that if we play to your strength we can come on top of them."

Manu Samoa round off the weekend for the Pacific nations against an-in form England at Twickeham tomorrow morning.
