Tremor struck NNE of Port Moresby on Tuesday evening

MELBOURNE, Australia (Radio Australia, Nov. 23, 2010) – There's been a magnitude 6 earthquake in Papua New Guinea region.

The United States Geological Survey says no tsunami warning has been issued.

It says the quake occurred at a depth of 73 kilometers.

It was centered 430 kilometers north-northeast of the capital Port Moresby.
