Ken forces way into airport VIP lounge

PORT VILA, Vanuatu (Vanuatu Daily Post, Dec. 22, 2010) – In Vanuatu, Minister for Health and Member of Parliament for Malekula Don Ken was seen drunk at the International Airport yesterday morning while waiting to meet the Prime Minister arriving back from the Solomon Islands.

[PIR editor’s note: Malekula is the second largest island in Vanuatu.]

Eye witnesses who did not want to be named told Daily Post that Minister Don Ken was stopped at the VIP Lounge entrance by security and Foreign Affairs protocol officers because he was drunk.

The Minister protested to be allowed to enter the VIP lounge and eventually had his way.

The eye witnesses told Daily Post that some Senior Government Officials were totally annoyed and even remarked that he should not be allowed into the VIP lounge as no one is above the law.
