PHILADELPHIA FIRM WINS $93 MILLION GUAM

CONTRACT

Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Marianas awarded a US$93.2 million contract modification on December 20 to DZSP 21, LLC of Philadelphia, Pa., for base operation support services for Joint Region Marianas.

Through this procurement action the Navy is exercising the second award option period under a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract to DZSP 21, LLC.

"We are pleased to extend the professional relationship already in place with DZSP 21 as we award this contract option, said Captain Peter Lynch, NAVFAC Marianas commanding officer. Their focus on supporting the mission capability for our supported commanders has been noteworthy and we expect their contributions to continue throughout this upcoming performance period."

Work will be performed for the bases that operate within the Joint Region Marianas construct, and includes general management and administration services; command and staff (public affairs office); public safety; port operations; ordnance; material management; galley; facilities management and engineering services; sustainment, restoration and modernization; facilities services; utilities (potable water, waste water, electrical and steam and demineralized water); base support vehicles and equipment; and environmental.

Following the award of this second option, the total cumulative contract value will be US$494 million. Work is expected to be completed by December 2011, with contract funds set to expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
