Vanuatu code-shares with Qantas, Air Pacific, Air New Zealand

PORT VILA, Vanuatu (Vanuatu Daily Post, April. 9, 2011) - Air Vanuatu Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Laloyer, has announced an addition to the code-share services between Port Vila and Nadi with Air Pacific.

"I am pleased to confirm we have successfully negotiated the addition of another code-share service to Nadi, a second weekly service, operated by Air Pacific from this week," Mr. Laloyer said.

Mr. Laloyer said code-share partners were an important part of Air Vanuatu’s business, allowing the national carrier to reach destinations we may not otherwise have access to.

"We have code-share agreements with Qantas, Air Pacific and Air New Zealand, meaning our network is far reaching," he said.

"We now have code-share services to Nadi twice a week, on Tuesday and Sunday. With all inclusive fares starting from 23,300 vatu [US$244] one way, the extra service will be welcomed in Vanuatu, particularly by those wanting to connect to or from the U.S.A."

Mr. Laloyer said Air Vanuatu was constantly reviewing flights and exploring new options for services to expand tourism development throughout Vanuatu.

"We are looking at expanding services to Noumea in the coming months due to strong demand and will continue to work with our code-share partners to market Vanuatu overseas."
