SUVA, Fiji (Fijilive, Jan. 2, 2012) - Businesswoman Mere Samisoni, former Suva City Councillor Mataiasi Ragigia and two others will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow for intending to incite political violence.

Ministry of Information permanent secretary Sharon Smith-Johns said the offence was contrary to Section 65 (1) (b) of the Crimes Decree.

In an interview with FijiLive, she said the aforementioned two along with Apete Vereti and Semisi Lasike conspired to overthrow by force of violence the Government of Fiji between the months of September and December last year.

"They will be charged this afternoon."

When asked whether the four have confessed to the allegations, Smith-Johns said, "I can’t comment on that."
