Fiji To Unveil Five Year Development Plan

Plan ‘to enhance Fiji’s capability and development’

SUVA, Fiji (Fijilive, Nov. 17, 2014) – Fiji's Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has announced plans to unveil a five-year plan early next year aimed "to enhance Fiji’s capability and development." Making the announcement in Suva this morning, Bainimarama says the development plan will set the country's agenda focus in a transparent manner for the next five year.

He says it will also assist the country's development partners to identify areas they can work with the country on a sustained basis for the benefit of all Fijians.

Bainimarama also spoke about his meetings with senior officials from the World Bank and the Asian Development both of which he said was successful.

World Bank is assisting the government with the planned Civil Service reform while the ADB is offering financial and technical assistance with their development and reforms in infrastructure and the public sector.
