Military cooperation to include training opportunities

SUVA, Fiji (Fiji Times, Nov. 19, 2014) – A 12-member United Arab Emirates (UAE) armed forces delegation yesterday paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama.

Part of the visit was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Military Forces and the UAE armed forces which includes training opportunities.

"I looked through the MOU that was signed, very excited about our relationship and I want to assure you that your visit is very important to us," Mr Bainimarama said.

The delegation was accompanied by the Commander of RFMF, Brigadier General Mosese Tikoitoga and Fiji's Ambassador to UAE Robin Nair.
