Pacific-Thai Links Strengthened Expanding economic and social cooperation

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, June 1, 2015) – Thailand and nine Pacific Island countries have agreed to expand economic and social co-operation.

The Bangkok Post reports the states decided to move ahead on 11 areas during the second Thailand Pacific Island Forum at the weekend.

Among those attending were the leaders of Nauru, Fiji and the Cook Islands.

The plan involves co-operation in tourism, agriculture, renewable energy and community development.
